In this package, you get to experience the magnificent landscapes of the High Coast in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. For three days you cycle on the beautiful Nordingrå Peninsula in the heart of the World Heritage High Coast. It is excellent to travel here by car or by train to Kramfors or Härnösand and from there a connecting bus to Nordingrå. You can book the package from early spring to late autumn.

In Nordingrå and the surrounding area, the traces of the last ice age are clear everywhere in the landscape with cordoned-off bays, kalottberg and clapper fields. The landscape of the High Coast is very hilly compared to other areas in Sweden, and the bicycle package therefore includes electric bicycles of really high quality. On these stable electric bikes, you cycle many miles without having to charge. However, the tours are no more strenuous than a normally trained person can handle them.

You combine cycling with experiencing art, crafts, shorter hikes and magnificent summit hikes along the way. The evening ends with a good dinner and overnight stay in a relaxing, genuine environment. The meals are largely locally produced with organic ingredients.

Day 1

Arrival at Lappuddens Friluftscenter

Lappudden bicycle package

Arrival at Lappudden and check-in in your own cabin at Lappuddens Friluftscenter in the afternoon. Lappudden has an exciting history as an old Sami settlement and was until the beginning of the 1960s an agriculture, beautifully situated on a headland by Lake Vågsfjärden. The site has been an outdoor facility since the 1970s and has been run privately since 2008.

Day 2

Tour of Nordingrå

Today's cycling goes towards Nordingråvallen and you cycle on narrow roads and paths along Ullångersfjärden towards the village of Norrfällsviken, one of many traditional small fishing villages that have been transformed into a tourist paradise. In fine weather there is the opportunity to take a dip in beautiful "Storsands havsbad" with white dunes, visit Norrfällsviken nature reserve or just take it easy and enjoy an ice cream in the cafe among the picturesque old fishing huts.

You then cycle south back towards Lappudden. Along the way you pass the dramatic Omneberget with the opportunity to climb the top or take a dip in the lake at the foot of the mountain. At Lappudden, the day ends with a cozy, wood-fired sauna, a good 2-course dinner and an overnight stay in a cottage.

Day 3

Vågsfjärden, Rödklitten and Pelle Åberg's Mannaminne

Stable, high-quality electric bicycles

After breakfast, new cycling adventures await. Today you follow Lake Vågsfjärden, which is a secluded bay. You get packed lunches and coffee in your backpack and your luggage is transported to the next accommodation. Today's tour is lined with many strawberry places along the way with everything from arts and crafts to Rödklitten's lookout mountains with interesting history. Feel free to stop and make a short hike up to the top. The journey continues towards the now deceased artist Anders Åberg's life's work, the unique open-air museum Mannaminne. At Mannaminne there is a steep path up on the mountain Stortorget with a classic, magnificent view of Trångsundet, a typical example of a cordoned-off bay in the tracks of the land uplift.

You cycle on towards the village Björnås which is the destination for the day. Anders Åberg has spent his childhood summers here and his father was the Stockholm artist Pelle Åberg. The farm is run by a host couple with sustainability as a guiding light every month of the year. Here, a nice double room awaits for overnight and dinner at the restaurant Gårdsbutiken (White Guide) which is a short bike ride away. At Gårdsbutiken you can also buy locally produced delicacies. As an evening activity, a summit hike to the nearby mountain Själandsklinten is recommended. Enjoy the evening sun and fantastic views of the forest, lakes and sea.

Day 4

Fishing villages, Rotsidans nature reserve and a dip in the sea

with electric bike in the high coast

In the morning, prepare yourself an organic breakfast, lunch and coffee at your own pace of ready-made ingredients. Breakfast can be enjoyed on one of the farm's patios or indoors.

Today you cycle out on the Nordingrå peninsula and bring a packed lunch and thermos. The bike ride goes along hilly, winding roads towards the Rotsidan nature reserve and the picturesque fishing villages Barsta and Bönhamn with their old chapels and fishing huts. Nowhere else in Sweden are the old fishing villages as close as here in the World Heritage High Coast. If the weather allows, a dip in the sea is perfect. There are also barbecue areas and toilets.

The bike ride continues and you pass Nordingrå's highest mountain "Ringkallen" before you reach Mannaminne open-air museum and restaurant where the evening ends with dinner and a visit to the art miniature by Pelle Åbergsgården. Then you cycle back the short distance to Pelle Åbergsgården for an overnight stay.

Lappudden: Missing toilet in the cottage. Very tasty food. Best packed lunch I have ever received. Åbergsgården: Very good accommodation. A little too long for the dinners. The bikes: Not suitable for cycling on the road. A little more "ordinary" bikes with low entry would have been better for us pensioners. There was a picture of the bikes, so we were aware of what we were going to get. The High Coast is fantastically beautiful and suitable for cycling.

The accommodation at Lappudden in camping cabins without withdrawn VA is simple but perfectly ok. This is offset by Maria's very good dinners and well-stocked lunch boxes. Alternative electric bikes with lower steps were wanted by some 70-plus people.
