In this bike package you get the opportunity to experience Dalarna and Lake Siljan from the bike saddle. 365 million years ago, a meteorite struck with enormous force and formed what is today called the Siljansringen - Europe's largest impact crater (astroblem). The edges of the crater form a circle that today contain many lakes, of which Siljan is the largest.

On your way around Lake Siljan you will first visit Mora with its classic Zornmuseum. A must while in Mora is to experience the history of Vasaloppet at the Vasaloppe Museum. Then you continue towards Rättvik with its famous wooden pier which extends about 600 meters out into Siljan. You then cycle on to Tällberg, which is known for its beautiful wooden buildings. The tour continues to Leksand, which lies beautifully along Siljan's beach. The bike tour ends in Siljansnäs, known as Siljan's "pearl".

Price reduction SEK 400 / person if you have your own bike.

Day 1

Siljansnäs - Mora

You pick up the bikes in Siljansnäs, which is known as "Siljans pearl". The western parts of the parish offer a magnificent wilderness. The many lakes invite fishing of various kinds. There are also wolves, bears, lions and eagles established among other animals in the forest.

Today, the goal is to cycle to Mora. There will be varying cycling along Siljan, a lot up and down. After a long cycle, it will be nice to arrive at Mora Hotell & Spa. Make a visit to their Spa facility before setting out in the dining room and being served a 2-course dinner.

The bike ride takes you to Rättvik today. You pass Nusnäs where the Dalahors are manufactured. Today's bike ride runs along Siljan.

When you come to Rättvik you have to take a walk on the World famous bridge "Långbryggan" which extends 628 meters out into Siljan. You check in at Hotel Lerdalshöjden with its fantastic view of Siljan. Here you will be served a lovely dinner and a comfortable bed awaits.

Today you cycle back towards Siljansnäs, but before that you have a lot to discover on the way. New discoveries and experiences await - the bike ride along Tällberg's winding roads with miles of views of Lake Siljan is fantastically beautiful. Most of the houses along the road are charming old log houses. Crafts, restaurants, cafés, nature and beautiful views are characteristics of Tällberg, which is considered one of Sweden's most beautiful destinations.

Arriving in Siljansnäs, you check in at comfortable Siljansnäs hotels, here you can enjoy the experiences you have been through and end with a well-composed dinner in a nice environment.
Once in Leksand you check in at Korstäppans Herrgård. Dinner is served at a nearby restaurant.

The bikes were not really made for long journeys. Bad transmission on the gears. The hotels in Mora and Rättvik are wonderful. Truly 5 stars. The food, the rooms and the service. In our opinion, the hotel in Siljansnäs did not measure up. The food was not optimal. We weren't full, it wasn't a buffet, but we had to order 4 small dishes to share. But overall, it's a super set up. Beautiful nature and wonderful weather. Mvh Birgitta Andersson, Carina Lundin

Hej! Det var den mänskliga faktorn som gjorde att det fallerade i köket på hotel Siljansnäs, vilket vi beklagar. Vi kontaktar dig för att tala vidare. Vänliga hälsningar Upplevelsepaket

The stretch between Mora and Rättvik was initially on good roads, but after Nusnäs it became dirt roads. Large parts of that stretch were covered with rough shingle, which was not very comfortable to cycle on. Between Nusnäs and Rättvik there was no place where you could have a coffee, so bring your own coffee on that stretch

Very warm accommodation. Especially in Mora but also Lerdalshöjden in Rättvik. Siljansnäs was better.

Hey! A very nice bike ride but with a pretty bad directions. If you have never been there before, it is probably good to have a more detailed directions directly from the accommodation.

The first two hotels were excellent with a very good standard, very friendly staff and tremendous service, the food was excellent. The trip Mora - Rättvik was not fun - very bad gravel road with loose gravel - poorly signposted - no information about how far you have left. Bad with coffee places. Last hotel no good standard but good food in the restaurant. Luckily it did not rain that day - then we would not have had the opportunity to get the clothes dry - cold in the rooms - remove this accommodation. Sign better and more cycling along the water. Nice staff at the bike rental and great service there.

Price SEK 10,400 for 2 people, is way too high, helmet, bike bag, suitcase transport is not included in the price, own booking has been easy and much cheaper, we will not book with you in the future without checking what own booking costs. Have cycled abroad several times and then received very good service. A small remark, inform the customer when booking that it is not possible to choose food from the hotel's menu, but we had to take what the hotel decided, it did not feel good to receive that information from the staff when we sat at the table and had chosen what we wanted to eat from the menu that was handed out. Otherwise, the food was very good.

Good to be prepared for the fact that the first stretch is basically just country road with forest around. Then the stretches get better and more beautiful! Nittsjö ceramics, on the other hand, is a disappointment, with a poor selection and empty shelves. Not worth the extra trip. The accommodation is perfectly fine and the food is incredibly good in all places. Overall, a nice experience we don't want to be without.

We thought this was an absolutely wonderful experience, nice treatment from all the service staff we came into contact with. However, the service staff were in their best mood at Ute-sport when we had to pick up our bikes. Regarding the cycle path, the markings were so in places that it was not clear where to go. The map was on a slightly too large scale (possibility of section maps?). Food and accommodation were great, however we had problems when checking in at Korstäppans Herrgård as there was only one double room booked in my name. Strange when it worked perfectly in other places (has happened before according to the staff at Korstäppan). She solved it smoothly so everything worked out. The standard at Korstäppans Herrgård does not quite match the brochure. We will warmly recommend this excursion!

Everything has been good. A little sad, that when you come to Leksand and have to check in at Korstäppans Herrgård, there is no room to be booked. Now they solved it (no further room). Pulled down our experience.

Beautiful nature. Some questionable signage. The road Siljansnäs to Mora is a bit difficult considering the traffic.

Bad marking on the bike path in places, Could also be an info on the sign where the trail goes towards, such as one side towards Leksand and the other side towards Mora or something like that. Otherwise a spotless landscape to see from a bicycle saddle, will really recommend it to acquaintances.

Suggests that the package be extended so that you also cycle around Lake Orsa - then it will be closer to 5 miles/day. The last two days otherwise have too short distances. Mora hotel had amazing food!

A few km were freshly graveled with large stones, very difficult cycling! First stage Siljansnäs to Mora a bit boring! Otherwise good cycling routes and nice places!

The Mora-Rättvik road along the lake is miserable with a lot of coarse gravel.

Good arrangement with nice cycling around Siljan. First overnight stay a big disappointment, as the promised spa had closed for renovation. Sad that we didn't find out before. The last night was at Korstäppan, a beautiful manor a little on the outskirts of Leksand. However, the night's sleep was sabotaged by people falling in several times during the night who started fixing food and talking. Felt more like a hostel. The overall impression is still very good. Sufficiently long stages, beautiful roads, consistently good food and pleasant hospitality everywhere.

Very nice cycling holiday, with good accommodation and fantastic food. The only negative was that there was no hotel booking at Lerdalshöjden.
