With over 1,000 lakes, deep forests and rich wildlife, this is a truly beautiful place to experience by bike – at your own pace. Enjoy a cultural landscape and cycle on an almost completely car-free, asphalted cycle path that takes you through hilly nature without you having to struggle so much on the slopes. The Sjuhärad round runs for the most part on an old railway embankment. This means that you will pass several beautiful station buildings and old railway bridges. At times you cycle above the spruce tops! Given that the entire round is completely car-free except for a few kilometers, this is an excellent cycling experience for the whole family.

Along the cycle path there are several attractions. The cycle path takes you through villages and communities. Stop and enjoy nature, the quiet lakes. An advantage of the Sjuhäradsrundan is that you cycle a round and have the start and finish at the same place. The package starts and ends in Svenljunga. The luggage is transported between the accommodations. You only need to think about bringing what you need for the day on the bike. The luggage is in place when you arrive at the hotel. You stay overnight at Hotel Solhem Park in Borås and Hotel Bogesund in Ulricehamn.

ATTENTION! Departure is booked on Wednesday or Friday. Child discount (6-13 years): from SEK 3,500/person in a double room.

You cycle on the Kindsbanan, which was operated by goods train between Borås and Svenljunga 1885-1902. One of Sweden's most short-lived railways. Some parts are hard-packed dirt roads, but otherwise you cycle on asphalt. You pass many lakes and bathing spots on today's tour. Between Svenljunga and Lockryd, you cycle on a straight cycle path that takes you through scented marshland. You stop at Köksträdgården in Lockryd and eat today's lunch. Arriving in Borås, you cycle on the city's cycle paths up to Hotell Solhem Park.

The hotel is a little outside the center and they can arrange indoor bicycle storage. Feel free to take a walk to the center of Borås, it takes about 15 minutes. In Borås there is both exciting public art and cozy cafes. In the evening, the evening's dinner and a comfortable bed await you at the hotel.

You start the cycle tour by cycling the same way back as you came yesterday. When you leave Borås, you come out onto the old embankment that takes you all the way to Ulricehamn. There are both bathing lakes and cafes along the way. You stop for lunch (either at Älvåker's pantry or Café Vings Kvarn). You then pass the communities of Nitta and Hökerum. You cycle along the river Viskan and here you can see the tracks of beavers found in the watercourse. Feel free to stop by and look at Vädersholm's castle ruins. Soon you will arrive in Ulricehamn, and there you can end the cycle tour with a visit to the Kallbadhuset with sauna and bath in the lake. The hotel is centrally located right next to the cycle path, and here awaits a nice room and a 2-course dinner at the Bryggan restaurant right next to Åsund's beach.

Today you cycle a fantastically beautiful part of the trail, along the Åsunden lake. Steep leafy slopes and hilly terrain on both sides of the bike path. Here you cycle on historic land. Sten Sture the younger was wounded by a cannonball on Åsund's ice in 1520. At the height of Marbäck, Bredgårdsmannen was found, which with its approx. 9500 years is among the absolute oldest skeletal finds in Scandinavia. You cycle on past Vegby, where there is a campsite, swimming area and shop. Månstad is a small community that has more cows than residents. From here, if you want, you can make a detour to Hofsnäs Herrgård and Torpa Stenhus (12 and 22 km back and forth to the cycle path, respectively). You arrive at Limmared with many second-hand shops, antique and retro. Glasets hus is a must-see destination and here you will eat today's lunch. You continue towards Tranemo where the hexagonal church with seven towers is one of the town's landmarks. Then you come to Uddebo - a fantastic example of how art and culture can drive the development of places. The tour ends in Svenljunga with many nice shops around the cobbled square. Maybe you want to stay an extra night?

A very easy ride, suitable for everyone. Good rental bikes. Interesting in terms of nature, culture and history. So beautiful in deciduous forest with birdsong. Do not miss detours for Skottek, mininaturum. Feel free to give Borås a day for the textile museum and art in town.
