In this bike package you get to experience a great variety of Swedish nature. Sea, coast, lake and island are interspersed with forest, mountains, countryside and cities of different sizes. You pass many sights and the food is fantastic. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from, and you can take your own picnic lunch to enjoy along the way.

The day stages are between 40-70 km and you cycle mostly on paved roads, with the exception of some idyllic forest roads and shorter stages in the countryside. The distances are easy to cycle and relatively flat (the distances day 4 and day 6 are, however, more hilly). In total, you cycle about 365 km.

Price for bicycle packages that start / end in Malmö: SEK 8,550 / person (part in a double room).

This bike package can be customized if you do not want to cycle the whole trip. Then you only choose the distances you want to cycle. It is also fine to stay an extra night. Please note that the price is slightly higher during the high season June-August 2022.

Take the opportunity to take the boat out to Hallands Väderö before continuing the journey - a fantastic island known for its rich bird life and one of Sweden's largest seal colonies. At the far end of the Bjäre Peninsula, the hilly agricultural landscape in Hovs Hallar and its dramatic coastal strip pass. One can understand that filmmakers like Ingmar Bergman (Seventh Seal) and Jan Troell (Engineer Andrée's Aviation) have been inspired by the place in their films. You also pass the world-famous opera singer Birgit Nilsson's museum which is located in her parents' home in Svenstad on the way to Båstad. One place worth visiting is Norrviken's Gardens, known for its wonderful environment and garden created by Rudolf Abelin in the early 20th century. Good lunch is served here. Another nice lunch alternative is Hotel Skansen in Båstad.

Then it's time for today's physical challenge, the climb over Hallandsås on small roads, through beech forests and over vast heathlands. For the shopping enthusiast, a visit to Johannesens Klädhandel with its exclusive range in the middle of the country can be an aha-experience. On the way to Margretetorp, you pass classic snapphan tracts, with the story of the infamous Post Robbery 1757 as a historically tickling detail. Just in time for lunch, you roll into the open-air museum Ingeborrarp, and it's like taking a step back 150 years in time. In the nice little farm shop you can buy locally produced goodies and crafts.

Further south, the beautiful landscape continues. It's like cycling in Astrid Lindgren's fairy tales where raspberries, strawberries, blackberries or mushrooms grow along the road. Feel free to make a detour into the center of Klippan with your architectural masterpiece St Petri church. Klippan's wool factory has a factory shop in town, and here you can find nice wool blankets and other home decor details at really good prices. The farm shop "Bjärhus" with its small market hall and plant shop are also well worth a stop. You also pass Herrevad's monastery on the outskirts of Ljungbyhed. The monastery was built in the 12th century and it was here that Tycho Brahe discovered "Stella Nova" which became the starting point in his career.

Day 10

Malmö - Copenhagen

Copenhagen does not disappoint. A huge range of entertainment, culture and shopping. It is difficult to put your finger on what makes Copenhagen so special. The different districts and bridge districts have different characteristics and personalities, from the young, ethnic Vesterbro to elegant Østerbro. The pedestrian street Ströget, one of Europe's longest, runs like a carotid artery through the center of Copenhagen from Rådhusplatsen to Kongens Nytorv and Hamnkvarteret Nyhamn. Nyhavn is a cozy restaurant and restaurant area where it is always full of people. Those who want to eat really well will feel comfortable in Copenhagen. There are about ten restaurants with Michelin stars, more than any other city in Northern Europe. From Nyhavn it is only a short walk to the royal castle Amalienborg and the well-kept garden by the water. Continue along the promenade and you will come to The Little Mermaid, the statue inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's saga and become a symbol of Copenhagen.

Other notable castles in the Danish capital are Christiansborg and Rosenborg. Visit classic tourist destinations such as Tivoli Gardens and the Zoo. The National Museum and the National Museum of Art are also well worth a visit. A slightly different museum is Guinness World Records, where you get to get acquainted with more or less crazy world records. Your week in Copenhagen and Sweden is coming to an end, and if you want there is the possibility to extend the stay with more nights in Copenhagen (also the places earlier in the trip).

You can easily travel by train between Malmö and Copenhagen. You buy a ticket at Malmö Central and the travel time is just over half an hour.
