Welcome to cycle on what Gustaf Fröding proclaimed to Sweden's most beautiful country road or take you to the technically demanding forests with your mountain bike. There are bike tours for all tastes and it is easy to mix culture with interesting sights and beautiful scenery.

The cultural tradition is strong in the countryside around Guesthouse Eleven Hotel and Arvika with many talented artists, craftsmen and cultural entrepreneurs.

For those who want to stay a little longer there are two more nice bike rides. One goes along the lake Racken, about 31 km long bike ride from the hotel, where the Racken painters lived and inspired. You can also cycle along "Sweden's most beautiful country road", about 75 km long bike ride from the hotel. That the road is just the most beautiful in the country, the well-known author Gustaf Fröding claimed, who himself often walked here on the road between his sister in Slorud and her friends in Mangskog's parsonage. Cycle between the beautiful stone bridges over the Sloruds River and decide for yourself whether you think he was right or not.

The bike rides can be shortened and adapted as needed, for example for a family with children.

Day 2

Cycle on trails in nature reserve

After enjoying a good breakfast, you will receive a lunch package and can leave for today's wonderful bike ride. A beautiful bike ride with historical touches goes to the Bergs Klätt Nature Reserve which, with its interesting landscape and twelve burial roses from the Bronze Age, is an interesting and beautiful destination. The view of the Glafsfjord is magnificent and a lunch stop on the peninsula is a perfect choice.

In the Glass Forest Reserve there are also four cycle paths that you can supplement the above trip with, and they are the Glasbruk tour, about 18 km (light), Upper Glaturen, about 30 km (medium difficult), Stora Glaturen, about 60 km (medium difficult) or Tenvik tour, approx. 55 km (relatively difficult). If you prefer to hike for a while, there are hiking trails of 1-30 km to choose from.

Super good b & b and good breakfast + packed lunch. The bike paths were nice but partly gravelly and the roadsides were often in poor condition.

Unfortunately, the bike trails were not marked with signs so that they could easily follow the trail. In addition, most bicycle paths went on public roads where the cars passed by at high speed. The staff at the accommodation were superb and so were the rooms and the food.

The only downside to our trip was that it was not possible to have windows open at night due to traffic on the road which was adjacent to the accommodation. Incidentally everything was very positive. We admired the owners of the Guest House who moved from another country and started their business in Sweden. The renovation of the school gets 5 stars.

Fantastic family accommodation. Nice staff o good rooms. Wonderful breakfast. Good with the map on the phone as it was not always easy to follow the bike track. Beautiful nature maybe too hilly on a regular women's bike.

Very happy with the stay (nice hosts and good food), but the bike maps are unclear and the bike routes are too badly signposted (lacking signage)
