Pass by many attractions and enjoy fantastic food. Along the way, you'll find plenty of cafes and restaurants or bring your own picnic lunch.

Daily stages range from 40-70 km, primarily on paved roads, with a few exceptions on idyllic forest paths and shorter stretches in the countryside. The terrain is relatively easy and flat, except for days 4 and 6 which are more hilly. The total distance is around 365 km.

After the cycling tour, enjoy the lively city life of charming Copenhagen, the Danish capital. If you prefer not to cycle the entire tour, the package can be customized to your needs. Choosing to start and end in Malmö instead of Copenhagen will result in a price of SEK 8,550/person (based on double occupancy).

After breakfast, the journey continues towards today's destination, which is Torekov. You will cycle along the coast and through the classic agricultural area of Bjärehalvön. The bike path is magnificently beautiful, and the area around Bjäre has a long history. As early as the 5th century, Bjäre was mentioned in a Latin-Gothic publication, which shows the importance of the area throughout history. Here you will find bird-rich coastal meadows, wide sea views, and plenty of artisans and cozy food places where you can stop and buy various goodies and other natural products.

You will spend the night at Torekov Hotel. Take the opportunity to enjoy the hotel's SPA area and pamper your body after a few days in the bike saddle.

Dag 5 - Torekov - Margretetorp

35-40 km

Take the opportunity to take the boat out to Hallands Väderö before continuing - a fantastic island known for its rich birdlife and one of Sweden's largest seal colonies. At the outermost part of the Bjäre Peninsula, the hilly agricultural landscape turns into Hovs Hallar and its dramatic coastline. Filmmakers such as Ingmar Bergman (The Seventh Seal) and Jan Troell (The Flight of the Eagle) have been inspired by the location in their films. You also pass the world-famous opera singer Birgit Nilsson's museum, which is located in her childhood home in Svenstad on the way to Båstad. Norrviken Gardens is another place well worth visiting. It is known for its beautiful environment and garden created by Rudolf Abelin in the early 1900s. Here you can enjoy a delicious lunch. Another good lunch option is Hotel Skansen in Båstad.

After breakfast, it's time for today's physical challenge, climbing over Hallandsås on small roads, through beech forests, and over vast heaths. For the shopping enthusiast, a visit to Johannesen's Clothing Store with its exclusive selection in the middle of the countryside can be an eye-opening experience. On the way to Margretetorp, you pass through classic snapphane areas, with the story of the infamous Postal Robbery of 1757 as a historically intriguing detail. Today's cycling ends with a good boost downhill towards the prestigious Margretetorp Inn, where you are welcomed with a set table in a classic setting at a traditional Skåne inn.

Today's cycling stage takes you inland, through beautiful rolling landscapes on small roads between pastures, past farms and small villages. Soon you will reach Lake Västersjön, which offers opportunities for fishing, swimming and fantastic views. At lunchtime, you arrive at the open-air museum Ingeborrarp, where time has stood still for over 150 years. Take a walk around the old farm, explore the stable, weaving room, bakery and cottage and experience the atmosphere of a bygone era. Enjoy lunch at the inn and watch the sheep graze in the meadows. In the charming farm shop, you can buy locally produced delicacies and crafts and bring a taste of the Swedish countryside home.

Continuing southwards, the beautiful landscape continues. It's like cycling in the fairy tales of Astrid Lindgren where raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, or mushrooms grow along the way. Make a detour into Klippan center with its architectural masterpiece St. Petri church. Klippan Yllefabrik has a factory outlet in town, and here you can find beautiful woolen blankets and other home decor details at great prices. The farm shop "Bjärhus" with its small food hall and plant shop is also well worth a stop. You also pass Herrevad's Abbey on the outskirts of Ljungbyhed. The abbey was founded in the 12th century, and it was here that Tycho Brahe discovered "Stella Nova," which was the starting point of his career.

You will be staying at the cozy Pensionat Söderåsen. Within walking distance of the pensionat lies the entrance to Söderåsen National Park in Skäralid. Here, you will find several beautiful hiking trails where you can explore the magnificent and unique nature with the mountain ridge's rift valleys and deciduous forest. Naturum and a restaurant are also available within the national park.

Today you will cycle along the "Tycho Brahe Trail," which winds through majestic and scenic terrain. Along the way, you will pass several interesting places that are connected to the famous scientist. The stage of the day includes a climb over Söderåsen (the highest ridge in Skåne) and you will experience several different types of nature along the way. You will pass, among other things, Tycho's birthplace, Knutstorp Castle, dating back to the 1300s, and the village of Sireköpinge with abundant prehistoric relics from the Bronze Age. Just in time for lunch, you will pass through Kågeröd, a small village up on the ridge with a grocery store, inn, and café.

During the ride down from the ridge towards Landskrona, the vistas open up and you get a stunning view of the Øresund strait with the Øresund Bridge, Turning Torso, and several other famous landmarks of Skåne. Landskrona is a beautiful and pleasant city with many sights to see. Bike through the city, visit the beautiful citadel and the allotment gardens. Visit Saint Ibb's old church from the 1200s, which offers a fantastic view of the Öresund. Then take a short bike ride to Tycho Brahe's museum (Ven's own "superstar") with the observatory Stjärneborg. He worked on the island from 1576-1597 and was one of Scandinavia's most important figures in science with an advanced research center on Ven.

Visit the cozy Pumpans restaurant with an organic menu in a lush garden environment near the museum. Also, don't miss the opportunity to visit Ven's goat cheese factory and Nämndemansgården, considered one of Sweden's most beautiful homesteads. The Little Mermaid

Copenhagen does not disappoint. There is a vast range of entertainment, culture and shopping, making it hard to pinpoint what makes Copenhagen so special. The different districts and neighborhoods all have their own unique character and personality, from the youthful and diverse Vesterbro to the elegant Østerbro.

Strøget, one of Europe's longest pedestrian streets, runs like a central artery through Copenhagen from Rådhuspladsen to Kongens Nytorv and the harbor district of Nyhavn. Nyhavn is a charming area filled with restaurants and bars where people always gather. Those looking for an excellent meal will find themselves at home in Copenhagen. There are about ten restaurants with Michelin stars, more than any other city in Northern Europe.

From Nyhavn, it's only a short walk to the Royal Palace of Amalienborg and the well-manicured garden by the water. Continue along the waterfront to reach the Little Mermaid statue, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale and a symbol of Copenhagen.

Other notable castles in the Danish capital are Christiansborg and Rosenborg. Visit classic tourist destinations like Tivoli and the zoo. The National Museum and the National Gallery of Denmark are also well worth a visit. For a more unusual museum experience, check out the Guinness World Records Museum, where you can get acquainted with some of the world's more or less crazy records.

Your week in Copenhagen and Sweden is coming to an end, but if you want, you can extend your stay with more nights in Copenhagen or at one of the earlier stops on the tour. The journey between Malmö and Copenhagen is easy and takes just over half an hour by train.

Booking fee SEK 1,000 is paid via invoice no later than 10 days after received confirmation (deducted at final payment). The remaining amount is paid no later than 30 days before the start of the trip.

Free cancellation up to 30 days before the start date.
50% refund 29-15 days before start date.
No refund 14 days before the start date.
If you yourself or a close relative become ill with covid-19 or if the Public Health Authority advises against travel, a full refund applies until the day before the start date.

The journey was very pleasant with 2 restrictions: 1. From Båstad to Landskrona you would follow the Tycho Brahe trail; however, such a cycle path was not signposted. 2. They didn't want to spend the night at Hotel Riverside in Ängelholm; it was dirty and in dire need of renovation.

Hi Ela! We should have been more clear that the Tycho Brahe trail was not signposted and produced GPX files for you. Not just maps. But from June 3 this year, this ride will be signposted thanks to the new Skåne Cycle Path. It was boring living in Ängelholm. We have taken this with the accommodation and have also decided to change for the coming season. Welcome back, greets Monika.
