Before Midsummer, there are limited opening hours at cafés/restaurants and slightly fewer boat trips.
Please note that arrival and departure on Sundays are not possible due to the bike rental being closed (this does not apply to those who bring their own bikes).

You arrive in Karlskrona, which is an exciting and beautiful city to discover for both young and old. The city is on UNESCO's list of inalienable world heritage sites thanks to the fact that the city's structure is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a European military city. Here you will find, among other things, the ropes course from the 1690s, one of the city's oldest preserved buildings and Sweden's longest wooden building (300 meters long).
You take the archipelago boat to Sturkö or Tjurkö and explore the archipelago landscape before sleeping in a cabin at Senoren.
Senoren is connected to the mainland via the Möcklösund Bridge, which is an attraction in itself with its 18-meter free sailing height. At the foot of the bridge you will find a restaurant and farm shop. Don't miss the sweet strawberries and delicious new potatoes when they are in season!
The island of Senoren, whose agricultural landscape is beautifully framed by lush greenery, offers plenty of small roads that meander through the island and are perfectly designed for pleasant bike rides. On the island you will also find the fine bathing place Sandvik, the Viking village Valshall and a general store.

After a scrumptious breakfast, today's cycling adventure takes you northwards to the charming town of Kristianopel, once Denmark's southeasternmost outpost in the 1600s. The bike ride leads through Blekinge's scenic countryside, with small roads winding through farmland, oak trees, and meadows. As you reach the Kalmarsund peninsula where Kristianopel is located, prepare to be enchanted by this unique place.
In this picturesque town, history mixes with the cries of seagulls and the laughter of children. Here you can experience the town's main features (including the beautiful roses in all their forms) the ring-shaped wall, the historic church and the cozy harbor. On clear days you can see all the way to the "Långe Jan" lighthouse on the southern tip of Öland. In the surrounding area there are a number of farm shops offering local delicacies and there are several different places to swim. The water is usually warm until well into September and during the high season, historical hikes are organized. Overnight stays are available at Kristianopel's inn.

After a delicious breakfast, the bike ride continues through the scenic farmland and meadows of Blekinge, where beech, chestnut, and walnut trees grow. You'll mostly cycle on forest and village roads to Lyckeby, one of the oldest settlements in Blekinge, which used to provide Karlskrona with flour and water. It was called Lyckå at the time and later became a Danish market town. The once fortified castle is now a beautiful medieval ruin and a sight worth seeing. Other highlights include Kronokvarnen, Lyckeby Bridge, and Lyckeby Spring. Accommodation is located on the outskirts of Lyckeby.

After breakfast, head towards Karlskrona, and feel free to stop at the small local park Wämö. When you feel like it, take the road ferry out to Aspö, about 25 minutes into the archipelago.
On Aspö you can visit charming cafés and galleries. There is also a farm shop, kiosk and the opportunity to ride Icelandic horses. Or just enjoy the sea and all the swimming opportunities. If you want to have dinner in a beautiful place, we recommend a visit to Drottningskär Castle from the 17th century, which with its thick walls, moats and cannons excites the imagination. You stay at Aspö Lotstorn - an archipelago hotel with breathtaking views in all four directions. The hotel, an old pilot tower from 1945, has five floors and is about twenty meters high and from the top floor you can see all the way to Utklippan, the outermost island in the Karlskrona archipelago.

After a delicious breakfast, the cycling adventure concludes with a short ride to Karlskrona. Along the way, you can stop by the charming Vämö heritage park. There are many other exciting attractions to explore in Karlskrona, including the Naval Museum, the Porcelain Museum, and the Car Museum, to name just a few enjoyable destinations for a final outing.

We have now clarified the information in the cycling package.
The route between Kristianopel and Karlskrona has been redesigned because the smaller roads are very bad in places. We will provide better information about it in the roadmap and that there is another alternative that is twice as long. Kind regards Maud/3 Steps
