With forest landscape and Lake Åsnen with its many islands as the central point, this bike package offers fantastic cycling for those who love Swedish nature. The Åsnen National Park was inaugurated in 2018 to preserve the largely unspoiled plant and animal life. Only the oak forests are worth a visit. Åsnen is a fish-rich lake that has an exciting structure with all its islands and bays. Around the lake there are many old castles and other historical attractions.

You can either cycle around the lake for four days or choose parts of the round. The "Åsnen Around" cycle path is approximately 140 km long. It starts from Alvesta and continues around Lake Åsnen. Almost half the route is completely car-free and runs on the old railway banks. The trail takes you through an old cultural village that offers nature experiences and many interesting sights.

The price for children between 6-12 years is SEK 925 (children's bicycle is not included).

Fantastic bike ride! Most of the ride is on an old track, flat, car-free and comfortable cycling with beautiful views most of the time. Good description of sights along the way and plenty of Åsnen-round signs for guidance. Cannon service by Johan on rentbike (thank you!). The accommodation at Torne farm and Solviken wonderful, with good food and nice hosts, but Urshult's hotel was more like a hostel run by Mr Fawlty ... (fun in its own way).

Nice bike ride! Recommended! Good treatment at all contacts both before, during and at the end of the tour. However, did not receive the detailed information about the tour at the start nor by email before which was a big minus. It should be available online at least from the day the booking is confirmed AND included in paper form when the bikes are handed out and you get the map. Very good food, especially at Torne and guest house Solviken. Good accommodation with some exceptions for Urshult who would need some refurbishment.

Thanks for your review. We apologize that you did not receive the directions in time, this was due to the human factor. In normal cases, it must be emailed out as soon as the booking is completed.

It is possible to get the route description in paper format if this is announced before departure. We are glad that you liked the accommodation in Torne and Ingelstad. However, we are sorry that the accommodation in Urshult was not to your satisfaction. We are grateful for your comments, and the accommodation in Urshult has now promised to remedy their shortcomings.

It works poorly to give an overall assessment of housing and food, because that experience in Urshult (very low housing standard and quite unclean) was completely different than in Torne (fantastic), and Solvikens pensionat (very good food and nice environment). The packed lunches were also significantly better on days two and four. The treatment is very nice throughout. We did not receive a directions until after the request. It arrived on the evening of day two by email, and would have been good to have earlier. The route description could be more elaborate, with directions to the sights based on the route of the cycle path, for example.

Lovely bike ride on perfect route. Nice service from Sweden by Bike and Johan from Växjö MTB. Good conditions. Good accommodation. Urshult a little tired but under renovation. Great dining experience at Tornegård and Solviken. Great hosts. It was the second year in a row with a cycling holiday in Sweden and we have not had enough. We'll be back. Greetings Bjørn

Marking The donkey around is deficient on certain stretches. Check-in times for accommodation should be stated. The lunch package from Torne farm is very good, the others a little worse.

Torne is a real highlight with a nice environment and the hostess set up a fantastic dinner. The accommodation in Urshult could have been a bit updated, very dark rooms. Good service and nice hospitality. Solviken is nice with good food and friendly hospitality. The "donkey around" signs made the bike ride easy along with the description of historic sites. Day two was especially good with beautiful nature and with rest areas next to the lake.
