Here you tread through wilderness-like nature with thousands of lakes, magical forests and flowering meadows surrounded by stone farms reminiscent of Småland's stubbornness. This makes you feel the wings of history while being filled with the impressions of the beautiful nature.

In this package you live at the historic Eksjö Stadshotell in the heart of the city, just a stone's throw from the unique old wooden town that made Eksjö so famous. There are not many places of Eksjö's size that can compete in terms of cultural experiences, activities and sights. The hotel's location in the middle of this idyll makes the stay extra interesting. For the family, there are bike rides that are a little shorter and child-friendly, from 25 km.

Day 1 - Albert Engströmleden

The first day you cycle the hilly Albert Engström Trail, which has its name after the well-known artist and writer Albert Engström (1869-1940). The trail runs on both asphalt and gravel through beech forest, deep magical forest and genuine Småland environment.

Take the first break at Skurugata (an 800 meter long gorge in the mountain), which with its magical nature has given rise to many stories and myths. You can climb up to the lookout point Skuru hat and look far out over the pine tops. Then you come to Albert Engström's parents' home in Hult, and his last resting place at Hult's church. You can also visit Ljusboden and taste their selection of waffles, authentic Småland cheesecake and other homemade. If you choose the longer trip you pass Norrsånna Ekhage - a nature reserve located on the high slope north of Lake Mycklaflon, and when you have rounded the lake you cycle past Edshult's church and Edshult's estuary before the tour takes you back up to Eksjö. On the outskirts of Eksjö, you can enjoy Fobo's ecological display garden with herb garden, sparkling perennial discounts and much more for garden lovers.

Back at the hotel you can relax in the relaxation area before serving a tasty two-course dinner. The fantastic dining room exudes a lovely city hotel environment and makes you dream back decades. If the forces don't push too much after today's bike ride, then you might even be able to swing a goblet at the Pub.

Day 2 - The Paradise Tour

On the second day, the hotel will pack your lunch basket with various delights before stepping out on the Paradise Tour. This trail takes you around the lakes Norra and Södra Vixen with bathing places and ancient remains in a varied landscape. If the stomach should cure, despite the lunch basket, you can make a detour to Pensionat Paradis or Hotell Ullinge, both of which have food service. On this detour you also pass Kulla Chapel, a picturesque little wooden chapel belonging to the Höreda congregation.

On the way back to Eksjö you cycle past Höreda church and this time you pass through Fobo's display garden as you step into the city.

Day 3 - Breakfast and journey home
