The idyllic town boasts Sweden's largest fishing harbor, where you can treat yourself to an ice cream and observe the bustling activity. Dag 2 - Fishing Villages and Medieval Castle

Start your day with a relaxing bike ride along the sea towards Skillinge. On the way, you will pass by the picturesque fishing village of Brantevik, where you can stop and enjoy the sandwiches and coffee that Turistgården has provided. After a bike ride of just over 10 kilometers, you will reach Skillinge. On a warm day, the sea is sure to tempt you for a refreshing swim.

From Skillinge, take the small roads to the impressive medieval castle of Glimmingehus. Take a guided tour and listen to entertaining stories about life in the castle and how potential attackers were kept at bay. Don't miss the nearby Bolshög's small church from the 12th century. Then it's time to head back to Simrishamn, where you can relax with a drink in the Rosenträdgården at the hotel.

Dag 3 - Kivik - Apples and Beautiful Heaths

Our suggestion for the day is to head north to Kivik by bike. Take a detour to Stenshuvud National Park, park your bike and hike up to the mighty peak along a trail surrounded by lush deciduous forest. At 97 meters above sea level, you'll get a magnificent view of the coast and Hanö Bay. Continue on to the beautiful sandy beaches. After the hike, you can enjoy a swim from the beautiful beach, which is also a perfect place to enjoy your packed lunch.

The mostly pleasant climate has made Kivik a center for Swedish apple cultivation. Just south of the village is Kivik's cider mill, where you can visit the House of Apples, stroll through the gardens, dine at the Kärnhuset restaurant, and buy cider from the farm shop. The old fishing village of Kivik has unusually well-preserved and maintained older buildings. A walk in the old quarters near the harbor is an experience. It was here that the eccentric writer Fritiof Nilsson Piraten spent his summers.

In the northern outskirts of the town is Vitemölla Badhotell, closer to a classic seaside hotel you can't get. Built in 1913, you can enjoy high-class food on the glass veranda and dream of times gone by. Continue towards Haväng and the shooting range Ravlunda just north of Kivik, here you can enjoy beautiful cycling on small gravel roads. The heath landscape is fantastic and the sea is always by your side. You cycle through refreshing beech forests and soon reach one of the country's most beautiful sandy beaches, which stretches all the way to Åhus.

Enjoy a delightful bike ride to the beautiful beach of Gyllebosjön, surrounded by lush beech forests and natural pastures. Here, you can explore the ruins of a castle from the 16th century and a castle from the 19th century. The area is characterized by varied landscapes, with the transition between the flatland in the south and the forested slopes of Linderödsåsen in the north. Nature lovers can discover a lot, such as large deer enclosures and scenic hiking trails.

On this day, we suggest that you pedal north towards Rörum. Here, you can visit the Mandelmanns Gardens, an organic farm that combines agriculture and forestry. For a taste of authentic French country charm, visit the French Creperie in Rörum, which serves dishes made with locally sourced ingredients from Österlen.
