Malmö – Landskrona
The journey north from Malmö offers a pleasant bike ride with nice views. Stopping on Lomma's shallow beaches or visiting Bjärred's cold bath on the road is a must!
Just north of Malmö is Spillepengen, a green area in stark contrast to the city. Its shallow sea areas are important resting and wintering places for bird life, which is thus very large. Also take the opportunity to test the landscaped mountain bike trails in the area. From a noisy Malmö to a quieter Lomma where the newly built harbor area coexists with old houses on cobbled streets. There is also a winery with its own production and farm shops with Fairtrade and organic offerings. Near Lomma is also Bjärred which invites to cooling baths from the nice beach or the well-known long bridge.
On the way to Landskrona you pass an open landscape with beautiful sea views and nature. Once in Landskrona, you are offered a plethora of art exhibitions and theater performances all year round. In the heart of the city you will find the Citadel, one of the Nordic region's best-preserved 16th century fortresses and on the fortress ramparts is Sweden's oldest colony, an oasis in floral splendor. In addition to the cultural offerings, history and art exhibitions, you will also find beach life. If you want to go on an adventure at sea, you can accompany a fishing boat out on the strait. Take your bike on the boat and make a detour to the island of Ven where you can enjoy the tranquility, beautiful nature and fantastic ingredients from the local farm shops.
