Rundtur Värmlandsnäs takes you out onto the large peninsula in Lake Vänern, known for having the most hours of sunshine in Sweden. The tour starts in Säffle, the country's youngest town, and continues towards Ekenäs at the tip of the peninsula. From here you can take the boat to Lurö, a real archipelago gem in Lake Vänern.

Along the way, a unique mix of nature and cultural experiences. You are passing wonderful beaches, farm shops and cozy cafes while cycling through Värmland's largest plain, an area rich in antiquities and history. There are remains from more than 3000 years of settlement - everything from stone axes and rock carvings to burial cairns. Christianity came early to Värmlandsnäs, as evidenced by the many 12th century churches testify to.

Every year in early September, a popular harvest festival with activities all over the peninsula. Keep in mind, however, that the main road to Ekenäs, Näsvägen, gets more traffic during the summer and is not recommended for families with children. Many businesses along the road also have seasonal opening hoursso please contact them in advance.
