The Kattegat trail is marked with red signs along the road.

Coast and sea, open landscapes, scenic and bird-rich nature reserves, nice little farm shops… On the beautiful stretch between Halmstad and Falkenberg there is much to discover.

Cycling continues west towards one of the west coast's most beloved beaches; Tylösand. Here you bathe extra safely because the beach is monitored by professional lifeguards throughout the summer. Tylösand is followed by the beaches of Frösakull, Ringenäs and Vilshärad before the trail turns east. At the windmill in Särdal there is a cozy café and a farm shop.

Around the charming village of Steninge there are several beautiful nature reserves with, among other things, unique beach meadows. Feel free to stop at Steninge Coastal Station for a coffee break in Plätteriet or in their BIKEBAR.

The trail takes you further along the Coastal Road to Ugglarp, where you can make a detour to the Svedinos Car & Aviation Museum, which has one of Europe's largest collections of old cars and aircraft. Treat yourself to a nice leg stretcher at Ugglarp's sea bath. You cycle further inland and pass undulating agricultural landscapes. Here you can stop at the Smörkull lookout and the Grimsholmen nature reserve before arriving at the popular Skrea beach with its long bathing jetty.
