The Kattegat trail is marked with red signs along the road.

This part of the Kattegattleden is the most hilly stretch. Enjoy the beautiful view of the sea and the Bjäre Peninsula's varied agricultural landscape.

The Kattegattleden passes central Ängelholm right next to the train and bus station and guides you further down to the beautiful district Havsbaden. Here you are met by forest, untouched nature and a wonderfully wide and long sandy beach. Stop by the beach kiosk and sample Engelholms Ice Cream, the city's own proud ice cream brand.

The journey continues along the coast towards Skälderviken, through small villages and fishing villages. On the way you cross the Rönne river - a perfect stop for canoeing or maybe a relaxing paddle ride on the SUP board. You pass Skepparkroken and Vejbystrand before you turn off in Killebäckstorp towards picturesque Torekov. There are cafés, restaurants and you can also take the boat over to Hallands Väderö. From Torekov, the tour continues, into the very heart of Bjäre. Here awaits a small-scale agricultural landscape, typical of the Bjäre Peninsula, shaped and based on animal husbandry since prehistoric times.
You meet the sea again at Norrvikens Trädgårdar and follow the trail further towards Båstad harbor.
