Fjärdhundralandsleden runs between Fjärdhundra and Örsundsbro, on nice roads with good opportunities for breaks for coffee, detours or a dip. You are also close to several other places to visit in Fjärdhundraland, so you can use the trail as a base for your own route. The trail runs mostly on asphalt, with a few kilometers on an easily cycled gravel road.
The trail starts and ends at a bus stop. You can bring a bicycle on board on the buses subject to availability (bus 804 to Örsundsbro and 225 to Fjärdhundra).
From Uppsala you can cycle "C55" on the old embankment to Örsundsbro or choose your own road in the countryside east of road 55, for example via Wik Castle.
From Västerås you can take the road via Tortuna towards Kärsta / Bred and follow the signs to Fjärdhundra just after Sagån.
From Stockholm you can take the bike on the shuttle to Bålsta and take the small roads via Hjälsta to Örsundsbro 25 km. The Mälardalsleden runs from Stockholm via Kungsängen and Bålsta to Örsundsbro where it connects to the Fjärdhundralandsleden. From Dalarna, the Fjärdhundralandsleden is a way to connect the Sverigeleden with the Mälardalsleden and cycle to Stockholm and beyond.
