You start this stage in Åby. After cycling the old railway embankment out of the community, you come to Graversfors, or as it was previously called; Stens bruk. You will pass many small mill towns along the way.
The journey is almost exclusively on smaller gravel roads, and although there are no long hills, the road is quite hilly. After about 60 km you reach Finspång with all possible services. The stage is characterized as challenging.
