This bike ride takes you from the sea to Nävsjön - a forest lake that offers silence, swimming and nature experiences for all the senses. On the way, you will pass winding paths, fragrant coniferous forest and open glades. A nature adventure by bike that suits both small and large explorers.
You cycle past cozy stops such as Nygrans Gård with its charming farm shop. Also take the opportunity to take a dip or explore the hiking trail around Nävsjön, which is part of the Sörmlandsleden. There are barbecue areas for a break and the opportunity to grill. By the Näveån river there are signs telling the story of Nävekvarn's history as a mill community.
The bike ride starts by the sea. Here is a quiet and pleasant guest harbor with wonderful views. Bråviken is a long narrow bay framed by coniferous forest, cliffs and quiet bays. Here, nature moves at a slow pace, with the scent of pine and waves.
This is a small farm with a big heart for nature. During the summer you can find the farm's own products in the farm shop - marmalade, jam, flavored sea salt and fruit, berries and vegetables in season. All grown in a living permaculture garden.
Nestled in the forest and tranquillity is Nävsjön - a clear and calm lake. Here you can take a refreshing swim from the small beach and jetty, or just sit down with a coffee by the water. There is a circular trail around the lake for hiking, with primeval forest-like nature in the nature reserve.
Along the winding Näveån river, traces of a bygone era lie dormant. At Salvetorp there was once a copper smelter - a heart of the area's industrial history. Today, a hiking trail leads you through forest and history, with signs telling about life, work and the power of water. A peaceful place where nature and culture meet.
At Masugnsdammen is Svalbergsgården, a cozy summer café where homemade meets mill history. Sit down in the greenery with a cup of coffee and saffron pancake, and take the opportunity to peek into the small museum that tells about the area and the history of the mill.
In the middle of Nävekvarn is the old granary Gula Kvarn - today a vibrant meeting place with café, art, music and markets. Here, history mixes with the present in a lush garden environment, where you can enjoy a waffle, listen to live music or just take a break during your bike ride.
Right on the quayside in Nävekvarns harbor is Systrarna Brådhe's Hamnkrog - a summery meeting place with homemade food, coffee breads and a sparkling view of Bråviken. Here you can sit down in the sun, enjoy good food and sometimes even live music in the evening breeze.
This bike tour is very easy to ride and requires no special skills. You'll ride on quiet gravel roads for much of the route, making it perfect for both young and old cyclists.

You can travel to Nyköping by train and bus. On Mälartåg you can bring your bike if there is space, the same applies to the rural buses. Bus 561 runs from Nyköping to Nävekvarn.
