
The bike tour is designed so that you can make detours to a few selected gems. You start in Höganäs and move on to the charming villages of Ingelsträde and Mjöhult, located in the heart of the Kulla Peninsula. Then to the picturesque Viken and then back to Höganäs.
On the coast you will find picturesque Viken with the possibility of swimming.
You can start the bike ride at Höganäs city beach, Kvickbadet and follow the beautiful Storgatan until you turn off on Väsbygatan and then cycle on the old embankment towards Ingelsträde.
Take a short detour to Brygghallen on Brännerivägen. Here you can drink beer from Kullen's brewery and Viken's brewery, meet beer nerds and eat something good in the restaurant.
Cycle along the old railway embankment and make a detour to Ornakärr's sea buckthorn - a small-scale organic farm. Here you can buy cold-pressed sea buckthorn juice and fine marmalades.
Another tip well worth a visit is La Maison Francaise. Here you can have lunch or buy French delicacies for the evening's dinner. There is a bistro, café and shop.
Here you will find Kullamust Gårdsbutik with both musteri and fikeri. It serves simple lunch dishes, coffee and good coffee. Don't miss the apple cake!
A stone's throw away is KullaGourmet with a nice shop. Here you can buy gold-winning Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, the milk comes from the family farm in Vezzano.
Then take Mjöhultsvägen south and turn off on the main road. Here is Vikentomater with a farm shop and garden café. Buy tomatoes, vegetables and fruit grown on site, have a good lunch or coffee.
Sisters Emma and Anna inherited Viklunda Gård from their father. Together with Damian, they now run the farm, growing both vegetables and cereals. Buy sun-ripened tomatoes in the small farm shop.
Continue cycling on Rågången until you reach the gravel road. Turn off on Brännans byaväg. Make a detour on Hyllevägen and Lars Bengt väg where you will find Larsviken farm shop filled with Scanian vegetables, fresh potatoes, meat for the barbecue and lots of goodies.
There is honey for sale in the small honey house. Buy a jar or two and put money in the box or swish. The honey has several different flavors depending on where the bees have collected nectar. Chestnut dandelion, rapeseed, white clover and summer flowers.
Continue Prästavägen until it turns into bygatan. Here you can buy good cheese and other delicacies at Cecilia's Fromagerie.
Continue down to the heart of Viken, the harbor. Here you can enjoy a good dinner and there are three different restaurants to choose from: MAVI, Il Faro and Hamnplan 9.
Then drive the beautiful coastal stretch of the Kattegat Trail back to Höganäs, finishing with a well-deserved swim at the long jetty at Kvickbadet.
By bike, you can easily navigate the old railway embankment, winding country roads, gravel roads and the Kattegattleden cycle path. This cycling tour is easy and requires no special knowledge. Parts of the Kulla Peninsula are nature reserves. This means that you must show extra consideration.
