Katrinelund Bike Ride

The tour starts at the historic lock, inaugurated in 1888 when Hjälmaren was lowered and the river straightened into a canal. The small yellow house next to it is the old lock keeper's house - a charming starting point for your cycling adventure.

A paradise for birdwatchers and nature lovers. Here you can cycle along the promenade and enjoy fine viewpoints, picnic areas and the small cottage where the ornithologist Erik Rosenberg once had his lair.

You follow a beautiful road lined with pastures and avenues, past Hjälmarsberg farm from the 1600s. Today it is also home to one of the country's largest Lego stores - a fun surprise for both young and old.
