This bike tour takes you from central Kristianstad, west towards Vä. The area is called Linderödsåsen, a rocky outcrop formed during the ice age. The nature is fascinating. There is a varied terrain with hills and valleys, streams, lush deciduous forests and fertile farmland with fields and meadows.

Vä was probably founded in the 12th century. The town has belonged to Denmark, its history is dramatic and characterized by several fires. The first occurred in 1452, and after a period of unrest and destruction during the reign of Gustaf II Adolf, a crucial decision was made. It meant that the city's inhabitants would be moved to a new location. In May 1614, Kristianstad was founded, marking the beginning of a new era.
