Fyrudden Mat & Logi is located in Gryt's beautiful archipelago outside Valdemarsvik in Östergötland. Close to the sea, a picturesque island world and with many nice bike paths in the area. We asked owner Anna Biörsmark what it is that makes the place worth visiting for a cyclist.
Fyrudden Mat & Logi attracts many summer guests. How are the surroundings attractive to cyclists?
There is a great variety of cycle paths in the Gryt archipelago. There are high altitudes and winding forest roads, all with a beautiful inner and outer archipelago in the background. About 3 kilometers from Fyrudden is Ekön with fantastic rocky outcrops and with a magical view of the open sea.
You are located in a fantastic archipelago environment. Is it possible to combine cycling with a boat trip?
It absolutely does. Östgötatrafiken takes you out to our rich and beautiful island world where there are nice bike paths both on Häradskär and Harstena. Östgötatrafiken has daily departures from Fyrudden harbor.
Finally, do you have your own favorite place that you like to cycle to on a day off?
Then I cycle about 5 kilometers to the Garden of Love at the croft Lilla Vik. It is an oasis by the sea that offers a fantastic rose garden and beautiful art. Here I enjoy the peace and harmony.
