In the fertile Lake Mälardalen you will find Övergrans Jordbruk, an active farm where you get the feeling of farm life for real. Here, some 30 sheep grazing meadows and pastures open, hay and oats are cultivated for the farm's 35 Icelandic horses and vegetable cultivation provides locally produced raw materials for cooking.
Country life offers many experiences for both adults and children. You can ride, swim in the bay or in the sauna with jacuzzi, pick vegetables in the field or cook with an experienced chef. The food is based on locally produced ingredients and traditional recipes. Some of the specialties are lactic acid cucumber, game meat and farm lamb lamb. The area around Knarrbacken has a long history. There are several ancient remains from different eras. On Väppeby udde there is a circular stone deposit. It is a grave from the Iron Age.
Granåsen is a popular recreational area and nature reserve. At the top of the ridge is the old Kvarnkojan, which was the mill keeper's residence. Here you can grill at the barbecue area or have a picnic.
Håbo has many ancient monuments. There are about 90 burial grounds, three ancient castles and about 30 rune stones. The rune stone at Varpsund from the 11th century stands on a narrow strip of land where land and water meet.
