At Erikdotters Brukslogi you live in a mill environment with a 300-year cultural history, with nature around the corner. Here you are close to quiet cycle paths and forests that abound with mushrooms and berries in the summer. The Siljan Trail passes right by. This is an area with heart and commitment to cycling guests! Furudal is one of the places located in the Siljan Ring area.
The accommodation at Eriksdotters Brukslogi has apartments decorated in a charming 1950s style. Here you live spaciously and comfortably in nice rental apartments with two rooms, kitchen and bathroom. The kitchens are equipped for self-catering with fridge/freezer and microwave and the apartments have a TV. Bicycles are available to borrow and rent on site.
In Furudal's mill environment you can visit a blacksmith's shop and two museums, the rural museum and the Norwegian veteran museum. At the mill you can also visit the village shoemaker's authentically constructed workroom from bygone times, and the blacksmith Matts Fällman has his forge next door. The mill's golf restaurant is open in summer. There are two golf courses, a small beach on the banks of the Ore River and good fishing waters in the ponds.
The surroundings of Orebygden are extremely beautiful and bike-friendly. Here you can see both old buildings and nature with its rich wildlife. Siljansleden consists of about 31 miles of different cycle paths that mainly follow county and country roads that meander through a hilly and magnificent landscape, around lakes Siljan, Oresjön, Skattungen and Orsasjön. Lake Oresjön offers fantastic sandy beaches, and there are six bathing areas around the lake, well worth a visit. In Orsa there is a waffle house in the middle of town that serves deliciously crispy bites. Another coffee stop is in Furudal, where home-baked goods are served at the local patisserie.
