Here you enjoy the simple life in a rural environment with chickens, cats and rabbits. Brådtom is a living farm in a cozy, rural environment next to Göta Kanal. A warm welcome to a real donut place!

Here there is a hostel with small rural cottages for rent with simple self-catering. A couple of the cottages are historic buildings, such as the Smedjan and Bykstugan. All cabins have a unique interior design, own entrance with a room of varying size and a kitchenette for self-catering. The cottages have a shared WC, shower and fridge in a separate building. Breakfast can be ordered and sheets can be rented if you don't want to bring your own. There is also a small lock café, where you can enjoy a good coffee and ice cream, while watching the boats being locked and gliding past on the canal.

Brådtom is one of the Göta Canal's smallest locks. There are many theories as to where the name comes from. One is the cargo ship Mars, which in 1905 drove into the lock gate so that the canal was emptied of water and the lock became "suddenly empty". Another theory is that several boats drove into the sluice gates during the 19th century because they were "in a hurry".
