Good food, living environments full of turn-of-the-century atmosphere and a landscape that offers rich variety. For those who like cycling and enjoying nature, Baldersnäs manor is a really excellent choice. The standard of the rooms is modern but the elegant atmosphere of the mansion and the wings take you back to the early 20th century. Baldersnäs is located on a peninsula in beautiful Laxsjön.
Dalsland is not that big, but offers most things when it comes to nature experiences. You may have heard that the landscape is called a Sweden in miniature. Here you will find deep forests, high mountains, fish-rich lakes and unique paddling opportunities in the Dalsland canal. Located about five kilometers from Dals Långed, Baldersnäs manor offers perfect conditions for relaxation and recreation. When you are happy with the day's cycling, you can go for a swim or rent a canoe. You are in a paddling paradise! If you are at least interested in history, you should head a few kilometers south and visit Högsbyn's rock carvings with 3000 years on your neck.
The cooking at the mansion is something really special, but certain periods require pre-ordering. Restaurant Öjentorp's kitchen has its cooking base in local ingredients. With the pleasant feeling of having moved all day, you retreat to the room and fall asleep with the window ajar. The rooms are inspiring and harmonious, some have turn-of-the-century furniture and some have original tiled stoves. The view of the park is magical.
